Mike is currently a student of the Master’s of Music Education Graduate Program at the University at Buffalo, and has over a decade of musical experience. He graduated from Canisius College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance. Additionally, he has been heavily involved in a wide variety of choirs, a cappella groups, and musical theatre productions. During his time performing in Canisius, UB, and St. Louis Church choirs, he has sung a wide variety of vocal music and has taken on positions of leadership as well. He co-founded an a cappella group, and performed a multitude of modern songs as a bass/vocal percussionist. While performing as several lead roles in musical theatre productions, he also took on the responsibility of music directing multiple shows. He has taught students of all ages, and often utilizes Edwin Gordon’s Music Learning Theory in his instruction. He always strives for an individualized learning experience for all of his students and wants them to perform music that is meaningful to them. He is always ready to accept students of any age/skill level and intends to help them improve their skills, and enjoy themselves in the process.
